Waist Bead History

Waist beads can be traced back to ancient Kemet times or what we all now know as Egypt, In those ancient times waist beads were known as girdle.

Waist beads have been worn for centuries by women in many Afrikan cultures, for many purposes such as rites of passage & as a status symbol, they come in many different colors, shapes & may also include decorative stones, crystals, or charms...

Florida Water

Used for spiritual cleansing, protection, and luck. Use on your hands to cleanse yourself.I like to rub a little on the bottom of my feet before leaving my house for protection. I also like to use Florida water for cleansing my altar. Some people add a little bit of Florida water when mopping  too bless and protect their home. I use a little in my diffuser, may be used in spiritual and cleansing baths.

Ankh

The Ankh sometimes referred to as the key of life is representation of eternal life in Ancient Kemet or what we know as Egypt. The top of the ankh symbolizes the womb of a wombman (divine feminine), the bottom of the ankh symbolizes the shaft of a man (divine masculine) being erected and when the womb and shaft meets we get the off spring which is the line going across. The ankh is often shown in the hands of important Egyptian figures, such as pharaohs and kings, preserving their immortality. And worn for good luck.

Smudging

Smudging has believed to been used as a powerful cleansing technique with origins as far back as 1500 BC. Evidence of ancient Kemet (Egypt) using sacred herbs & resins burned in religious ceremonies were inscribed on tablets. The most commonly known form of smudging involves the burning of White Sage Indigneouse to the Native Americans.

Smudging is a custom of many indigenous cultures. When burning sage it is used to get rid of the negative, any unwanted persisting energies and to ask the spirits for protection, blessings, prosperity and more.

Many cultures around the world see plants as more than just living things, they have a soul, a spirit, and sage is no different. Burning sage is a way of communicating with the spiritual realm and connecting to the spirit of the plant and the earth. By burning the sage with intention, you are asking the spirit of the sage to lend its cleansing and protective energy into your space, body, energy, etc.
